Who is NYSCLA?

About NYSCLA

The New York State Clinical Laboratory Association, Inc. (“NYSCLA”) is a not-for-profit trade association which promotes the common business interests and seeks to improve the business conditions of clinical laboratories located or operated within New York State. NYSCLA is a state-wide organization, not a national organization.

It represents large laboratories, small laboratories, New York City laboratories, upstate laboratories, laboratories outside of New York State who hold New York State laboratory licensure, independent clinical laboratories, hospital based laboratories, molecular/genetic laboratories, and pathology laboratories.

NYSCLA represents the entire clinical, molecular/genetic, and pathology laboratory industry in New York State, with a diverse membership of entity and individual stakeholders.

The purposes of NYSCLA are:

To monitor proposed laws and regulations which affect laboratories.
To formulate industry-wide positions on critical issues.
To communicate our concerns to key governmental, legislative, and regulatory individuals.
To request clarification of confusing regulatory, licensing, and reimbursement policies.
To act as a clearinghouse for the sharing of information.
To present industry-wide educational conferences.
To present smaller seminars, webinars and workshops on topics of interest.
To work collaboratively with other state and federal laboratory and pathology associations on common areas of concern.

NYSCLA seeks to ensure that its members are aware of events happening in New York State that may affect their operations.

We also tell the legislature and the regulatory agencies what our concerns are and how a proposed regulation would impact upon us.

Our lobbyist has decades of experience interacting with the state legislature and regulatory agencies. In short, we are an industry network and advocate.
